Multiple medical conditions

Learn about how your medical conditions may interact to affect your driving safety.

If you have more than one medical condition, your driving may be affected by your individual conditions as well as a compounding effect. This means that assessing your fitness to drive may be more complex than usual.

What you need to do

If you have more than one medical condition, consult your doctor to discuss your driving safety. It’s important to discuss the potential compounding effects of having more than one condition.

If you have or develop one or more medical conditions that could affect your driving safety, you must notify VicRoads. Drivers are required under law to report to VicRoads any medical conditions that could impact their ability to drive.
