Manage vehicles

Keep and manage your business vehicles all in one place.

At any time you’ll be able to:
  • change a vehicle’s garage address
  • run vehicle reports
  • request an Unregistered Vehicle Permit
  • nominate a vehicle for short term registration. 

Change garage address

To keep your business vehicles registered with us, they must stay garaged in Victoria. Garage address means ‘the place where the vehicle is normally kept’. 

If you plan to keep your vehicles outside Victoria, you’ll need to register them in your new state. By changing the address, you’re confirming that it will stay in Victoria.   

You can change the address of your vehicles through your business account. Simply:

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Click on ‘Change garage address of your vehicle’ in the ‘Key Tasks’ menu.
  3. Select the vehicles that need their address to be changed
  4. Click the green next button and follow the steps to complete
You can only change the address for the vehicles listed on a page. If you have more than 50 vehicles to change, you must first update their addresses before moving onto the next page of vehicles. 

It’s important to note that any details you change can take up to 72 hours to be updated in our system. During this time, the original address for the vehicle will be shown.

Vehicles not showing in your account 

Once you’ve activated your account, any vehicles registered to your company’s customer number will automatically be displayed in your dashboard.

Vehicles could be missing if:

  • they are currently unregistered
  • they are registered under another business or private name
  • they are registered under an old or abbreviated company name.

Vehicle reports

A business account allows you to run reports on vehicles which are due for renewal.

Download reports on any page where vehicles are listed by clicking on the ‘download’ button at the top of the vehicles table.

The report will be exported in csv format which can then be uploaded into another system or viewed in a spreadsheet.

Unregistered Vehicle Permits

Your business account can be used to request and pay for an Unregistered Vehicle Permit. 
  • log in to your account 
  • click ‘Apply for an Unregistered Vehicle Permit’ in the Key Tasks menu. 
  • follow the steps to request and pay for a permit
