Child restraint evaluation program

The child restraint evaluation program (CREP) tests restraints and gives them a safety score. These scores can help you pick the safest restraint for your child.

CREP helps you to choose the safest child restraint or booster seat for your child.

CREP tests child restraints and booster seats and gives them a score out of 5 stars. The score is based on how well they will protect your child in a crash and how easy they are to use.

The results of these tests and the scores are available on the childrestraints.com.au website (External link).

CREP provides independent and consistent information and is supported by VicRoads, Transport for NSW (TfNSW), the NRMA Motoring and Services, the Royal Automobile Club of Victoria (RACV), the Transport Accident Commission (TAC), and the Royal Automobile Club of WA (RACWA).
