VicRoads has bicycle counters installed across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria which monitor bicycle speed volumes all year round.

There are 38 counters distributed between on and off-road bike paths recording cycling flows in both directions.

Data collected from the bicycle counters from 2015 to now is available on this interactive dashboard. The maps and charts show speed and volume trends as well as the location of the on-road and off-road Piezo strip sensor*. Detailed speed and volume bicycle data is available at www.data.vic.gov.au for download. If you require further assistance please contact us by emailing [email protected].
