This calculator provides a fee estimate for registration renewal fees for light motor vehicles including cars, utes, and motorcycles. Heavy vehicles and heavy trailers are excluded.

If you've moved recently and haven't updated your details with VicRoads, you can do it online. This'll ensure that your bill will be for the correct amount.

Carrying capacity is the difference between the tare weight* of a vehicle and the Gross Vehicle Mass# as recorded on the vehicle's compliance plate
* Tare mass is the weight of the vehicle recorded by VicRoads and shown on the Certificate of Registration for the vehicle.
# Gross Vehicle Mass is shown on the vehicle's ADR compliance plate.
