The Starting Out Safely Road Safety Educator Resource has been developed to support early childhood educators to embed road safety education into their early learning curriculum.
The resource is based on the National Practices for Early Childhood Road Safety Education, which are aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework.
The following partners contributed to the development of this resource:
- Catharine Hydon
- VicRoads
- Early Learning Association Australia
- Gowrie Victoria
- Transport Accident Commission (funding partner)
The Starting Out Safely Road Safety Educator Resource consists of nine parts - an introduction and eight resource documents, one for each of the National Practices for Early Childhood Road Safety Education. The introduction contains important information about how this resource can be used to embed evidence based, effective and meaningful road safety education in the curriculum.
